Until When: In Memory of Shira Banki

Sunday, September 18, 2016 at 2:00 pm

Director: Rachael Fried
2016, 5 min.

Shira Banki, a young and vibrant not-yet-sixteen year old girl was killed while marching as an ally during Jerusalem’s gay pride parade in 2015. The Jewish man who took it upon himself to end her life was guided by the false notion that God wished him to destroy those who were celebrating love. May Shira Banki’s life – cut far too short – be a reminder that our fight for peace is far from over. We promise never to stop fighting.
