Sometimes I Think About Dying

Saturday, September 30, 2023

Fran, stuck on the gloomy Oregon coast, spends her days isolated in a cubicle, daydreaming to break the monotony. Her life feels like a ghostly existence, but everything changes when Robert joins the company. Despite Fran’s resistance, his friendly nature sparks a glimmer of hope. Directed by Rachel Lambert, this film delicately explores love amidst social awkwardness. It’s an unexpected fable about the beauty of embracing life.

SOMETIMES I THINK ABOUT DYING, directed by Rachel Lambert, stars Daisy Ridley. The film is based on Stefanie Abel Horowitz’s 2019 short of the same name, which was itself inspired by Kevin Armento’s play “Killers.” Katy Wright-Mead co-wrote both the short and feature screenplays. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2023.
