Nancy Erickson Dutmer
Entertainment is the backbone of my art. When painting, I prefer to work in oils, but the theatrics shine more through my painted fabric and bead embroidered art pieces. They both satisfy my artistic cravings in different ways, and they both feed into my desire for audience entertainment.

Fedele Spadafora
A distinctive aspect of my work as a painter is my ability to capture the essence of a place. My paintings of New York are straightforward realism. Whether it is a quiet moment in a diner or the chaotic interior of the kitchen in a Chinese takeout place, I aim to transmit a sense of those places. While never straying too far from realism and a resonant respect for tradition, I sometimes allow imagination to lead me. My use of color, for instance, moves my work from the pure observation associated with representational art toward memory and impression.
