Volunteer

It’s never too early to join the team and volunteer for the 2023 Big Eddy Film Festival!

You can sign up by going to myvolunteerpage.com or emailing our volunteer coordinator Jill Fruchter at jill [at] fieldnotesconsulting.com.

All shifts begin a half hour before the scheduled film so it’s important to be on time for the shift.  The shift time ends with the conclusion of the film being shown during that shift.

A volunteer orientation breakfast will be held at DVAA in late August. Details will be sent to confirmed volunteers.

COVID-19 Guidelines for the Big Eddy Film Festival

In preparation for the 2022 Big Eddy Film Festival, we have updated guidelines based upon those established by the Centers for Disease Control, the NYS Department of Health, and Sullivan County Public Health Services. For attendees of any 2022 Big Eddy Film Festival event, our guidelines are as  follows, in response to the current COVID-19 situation in our area:

    • We request that attendees receive a negative test result for COVID within 48 hours of the festival via a home testing kit or one issued by a medical provider.

    • We recommend but do not require that all participants at the festival – guests, volunteers, and staff – wear a recommended facial mask that covers their mouth and nose, whether in indoor screening venues. This includes children over two years of age.

    • Social distancing when achievable should be maintained from others outside your own party.

    • If you are feeling ill in any way, for any reason, PLEASE do NOT attend a festival event. Anyone who is obviously ill will be asked to leave the venue.

updated September 2022.
