Marcus, an ethnically mixed, bi-curious, high school senior is two and half hours late for his curfew on prom night. His white father and African American mother have very different experiences of his lateness and very different ideas of how to hold him accountable for it. Culture and color clash in this family drama about safety, diversity, and love.

Director Bio

K.Page Stuart Valdes is a New York-based writer, director, composer, and vocalist. She has received fellowships and commissions from Yaddo, Jerome Foundation, Atlantic Center for the Arts, HERE Arts Center, Voice and Vision Theater, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, and Tisch School of the Arts. Her screenplay, Borderline ‘73, was a finalist for the Sundance Writer’s Lab, and an Academy Award Nicholls Screenwriting Fellowship Semi-Finalist.

Playing as part of the Upstate Downstate shorts program.
